Current projects
I am currently very much enjoying taking part in a Metapod business training course. It is being delivered free to budding creative practitioners in my area as part of Place , Space and Identity. We are being inspired by a combination of inspirational guest speakers and the ever enthusiastic Helga Henry who is delivering the course. I feel thoroughly invigorated by the experience and Helga really makes you believe in yourself, such a positive experience. I really couldn't recommend it enough if you ever get the chance to take part.
It is just part of my current growth spurt in my creative endeavours. I had been sad to finish the college year all to soon and expected things to become a little quieter over the summer break, but instead the momentum seems to be gathering pace !
I am very excited to be exhibiting in my first solo exhibition at Newcastle Under Lyme library from the 4th till 12 August 2011. Which has all been made possible due to my partnership with Newcastle Under Lyme's Britain in Bloom team participation. I am currently completing the remaining 6 pieces of the collection of 21, celebrating there long history of success in both the regional and national competitions. I am very honored to be invited to the Judges Lunches where my work will also be exhibited to demonstrate community involvement along with the many other excellent projects undertaken by local community groups and school children.
Britain in Bloom is a great example of how people from all parts of the community can come together to achieve something to be proud of. I hope that this is just the start of my relationship with the annual event and also act as a spring board to develop working relationships with the groups and individuals involved with it.

Little plastic chicken day 6....
Come rain or come shine little chicken and the children were going to go to the park today so off they went.....
I wonder if they will find their way home?
Time to find shelter drizzle making everyone wet, great weather for ducks but not chickens!
The sun came out for a while and little chicken and the children saw a canal boat they all waved as it passed under the bridge beneath them.
Soon enough the rain was back so the next stop was the band stand, little chicken thought the roof was lovely it reminded her of a spiders web...
Ahh a pretty rose does it smell sweet little chicken ?
Finally the playground all the rain has gone its time to have fun !!
Round and....
round and....
round and....
round and...
round and....
round and....
round and...
Oh no little chicken are you dizzy ! Maybe its time to go on something else now.....
Time for a rest and a snack break...
off we go again....oh look a ladybird and she is on the sweetest smelling roses Chicken has ever found and a beautiful colour too !
Wow that's a big bath !
and on the way home little chicken found this cute little car....
Once the children has gone to bed it was off to the allotment to water the plants...
Wow what a pleasant way to spend the evening little chicken might tag along more often now its just so relaxing there !
Little plastic chicken day 5....
OK so again this is not really day 5 but it took little chicken a while to recover from her birthday party and so nothing really happened on day 5 proper.
Now little chicken was rested she felt the need for knowledge and remembering that the University was near by she thought she would try her luck swapping and see a bit more of the wider world.
Soon enough a very enthusiastic lad swapped the Iron man lighter for a screw driver, he was quite surprised to find a chicken in his lecture......
Later on the lad came back with some screws to go with the screwdriver as he felt little chicken had not really had a great deal for his swap.
Later that day little chicken visited some of little boy and little girls family and as little girl often played there the play dough was swapped for a paperback novel, so she could use it next time she visited.
